Christian Benteke uncertain of Liverpool future
Liverpool striker Christian Benteke admits he’s unsure of what his future at the club holds.
The Belgian arrived at Anfield in a big-money move from Aston Villa at the start of the campaign, but failed to live up to his hype, scoring just nine goals all season.
With the Reds finishing the season eighth, having lost both the League Cup and Europa League finals, the Merseyside club failed in their bid for European football next season, and with expected change on the horizon at Melwood, Benteke is unsure what lies in store.
“I think Liverpool bought me with my strengths and weaknesses – of course I have to adapt to the manager but now the season is over and we want to try to speak with him and to try and find a solution for next season,” he said.
“Losing the final is going to be a big disappointment for us, because now next season we are just going to play the Premier League [and domestic Cups] and we have a big, big squad.
