SAP today disclosed in July it initiated a “voluntary disclosure” process on the Gupta scandal to the US Department of Justice (DoJ) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At a media conference today SAP said the company uncovered misconduct in dealings with Gupta-linked fronts and disciplinary proceedings have been brought against three of its SA managers. SAP confirmed the DoJ and SEC investigation is separate to the FBI’s probe into two Gupta nephews in the US accused of money laundering.
